What makes a chant work in a stadium
A sports anthem has one job an ordinary song doesn't: a crowd of strangers has to be able to join in after hearing it once. That means the hook is not a clever line, it's a short, repeated, shoutable phrase, usually the team name or a two-line call-and-response, simple enough that someone who has never heard the song can pick it up by the second chorus.
Ask directly for a call-and-response chorus and name the exact line you want shouted back, for example the team name repeated three times. Brass stabs, pounding drums and layered crowd vocals sell the size of the sound; a lone lead vocal, however good, reads as a performance rather than something the stands can actually sing.
